There's nothing like popping in your earbuds and going for a walk! This is my favorite hike in Key West. Most of the walk has amazing ocean views. This out-and-back route is just over four miles and is sure to refresh your soul.

You can park for free at the start of the route, just south of Seaside Drive on Jimmy Buffett Memorial Highway, heading towards Smathers Beach. You'll spot parking spaces on the waterside.
Kick off your walk here! Just keep an eye out since bikers love this path also. As you wander along, you'll pass by some cool resorts and then the East Martello Museum. This place is so unique because it’s home to the famously creepy "Robert the Doll" featured in Ghost Adventures. There's even a ghost tour at night that lets you visit Robert in the museum's basement.
You'll find Smathers Beach next, so be sure to stroll up one of the walkways to check it out. It's an awesome spot to catch some sun. The beach and water entry are pretty rocky, so water shoes are really handy.
I typically continue until the road makes a sharp right onto Bertha Street. This spot gives you another awesome view and a perfect place to turn around and head back.
I hope you enjoy this walk as much as I do! I try to do it at least once a week.
Looks like a great hike - I'm excited to try it!
